Guide Lina leads a private English-language walk through Riga’s Old Town, from St. Peter’s Church and Town Hall Square to the Swedish Gate, Cat House, and Freedom Monument. Expect medieval legends, overlooked courtyards, church stories, Baltic history, and a tasting of Riga Black Balsam. The tour lasts about two and a half hours.

“Our walking tour of Riga’s Old Town was a great introduction to the city’s rich history and character. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly proud of her Latvian heritage, which made the experience even more meaningful. She had a unique sense of humor that kept things light and engaging throughout. We especially appreciated her recommendation for a local restaurant—it ended up being one of our favorite meals of the trip! Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to get their bearings and learn about Riga’s fascinating past.”

Walk from Riga’s Town Hall Square into the Art Nouveau district with a local English-speaking guide. You’ll see Alberta, Antonijas, and Elizabetes streets, hear how Riga’s architecture developed, and finish beside the Art Nouveau Museum. Guides including Gunta and Liga have led this two-hour tour.

“We really enjoyed our walking tour with Gunta. It was the perfect way to kick off our 3-day weekend in Riga: we learnt more about the history of the country and the evolution Latvian Architecture over the 19th and early 20th century, and got to see all of the city's most fabulous Art Nouveau buildings. The tour ends at the Art Nouveau Centre - which allowed us to carry on with a visit if this lovely museum where you get a change to visit a period furnished Art Deco apartment.”
