One-Day Kayaking Trip in Gauja River Valley

1.One-Day Kayaking Trip in Gauja River Valley

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 12 reviews · 8 hours (approx.) · from $288Our pick

Spend about eight hours kayaking through Gauja National Park with a local guide such as Rolands or Valters. Expect roughly three hours of transfers and preparation, then a flexible river trip lasting about four to five hours. You’ll paddle past sandstone cliffs, forests, and quiet stretches of river, with local snacks and drinks served along the way.

“Although the condition on the river was not perfect, water level was high and it was windy, I enjoyed the trip very much. The trip startet on a smaller river wich was fun and my guide Rolands took care to get me around the tree chunks. Unfortunately due to the high water level there were not many places for a rest. Nevertheless we enjoyed a good traditioal meal. The Organisation was perfekt, even I was the only participant. Perhaps summer or autumn would be a better time. Althougether, very good trip”

Meet Advaita Adventures at Andrejostas iela 3A for a short paddling and safety briefing, then set out with a kayak, life jacket, and waterproof bag if needed. You can follow suggested routes through Riga’s canal and river waters, return to the same point, and enjoy a flexible outing at your own pace.

“Easy to book, the guys were very friendly and gave me everything I needed… a quick safety chat and equipment handed over, then some advice on some good routes. I went through the canal, then back along the river. Not many big boats so was easy to navigate and gave a brilliant new perspective of the city.”
